Ft. Myers Beach

Well, we’ve returned from our trip to Ft. Myers beach. Haven’t been there before and we had a very nice time. Even though there were tornados in other parts of Florida, our weather was pretty decent. On the first day I got sunburn while eating lunch at one of those dockside seafood restaurants, and cruising around in the Mustang, but thankfully the weather was warm and cloudy on the other days. Plenty of slow walks on the beach looking for shells and soaking in the warmth, it was a pleasant change from the cold wether we’ve had in Colorado. We also visited Lover’s Key State Park searching for manatees and a wildlife refuge on nearby Sanibel Island. It was a bit breezy most of the time, but I don’t know if that’s typical for the Gulf side of Florida. Check out our photo album from this trip.

Yes, it is breezy most of the time on the Gulf shore, that’s why my parents love it down there. We actually go further south to Naples and Marco, that’s where they are. I meant to tell you that a few months ago you wiped out the photos albums off your blog , s oI can’t see any of them now. I didn’t know if it was intentional ,so I never mentioned it. I finally updated my blog and added some albums if you care to see 🙂

I think that we made it down to Naples on the first day when we went for a drive in the convertable. I think that we were actually in Naples when we ate lunch at a seafood restaurant right along the main road.
